A nice hotel and the rooms are impressive. The onsite bar is good, you’ve got to try its hot drinks. I can recommend this place for a couple of nights.
The bathrooms are very dirty.

It seems somewhat out dated but there were a lot of facilities and everything worked well. Good place to visit ROtorua. People very kind and helpful. Room had a lot of space and convenient kitchen.

We loved our weekend break at Rob Roy so much we have pre-booked our next holiday in Rotorua with them in 2013. Absolutely brilliant with authentic mineral spa pools and extremely helpful, friendly staff. Recommend to anyone.
Nothing we did not like.

Beds very comfortable, bedding condition and cleanliness very good, towels etc, peaceful most of the time, refreshing to have large windows with foliage for privacy.
If I were to cast a critical eye over the unit - the conditions of the oven elements was possibly dangerous, no extractor fan for cooking steam and smells, Phone didn't work, table too small, shower poor, condition of cupboards and quantity and quality of kitchen things poor. Constant humming noises in walls, possibly faulty electrical things somewhere. Not enough power-points:had to remove one thing to use the microwave, then laptop then fan etc, behind the table. However it was just me in the unit and because I was happy to be there and it was peaceful, I tolerated everything with humour lol, thanks. Shirley.

The rooms, although furnished with older furniture, have very comfortable beds and a kitchenette equipped with a reasonable selection of utensils. The staff are friendly and helpful, making for a pleasant stay. Additionally, the hotel's central location is perfect for accessing all the big stores and attractions right in the center.
Everything was just fine.

I would love to stay another time. Big, sunny, quiet room in pleasant, soft colours with sofa AND table and chairs and roses and camellias outside. The kitchen had the best facilities I've enjoyed: stove, microwave, electric frying pan, 5 pots, casserole dish, pyrex dish - and handee towels which are so useful around food preparation. The T.V. was a reasonable size - not a huge room-dominating screen: the bathroom and shower were roomy and the thermal pools were really hot - a rare find! The host and hostess went out of their way to make it a great stay -even supplied bottled water and paid their own plumber at night to get water onto the place after the city had turned it off for over 8 hours with no indication of the service resuming.
Bed headboard was a bit loose for leaning against to read.

The beds were very comfortable and allowed for a good night's rest. The location was perfect as it was close to key attractions and restaurants. the staff was friendly and accommodating, making the stay very pleasant.
The room was quite dirty upon arrival, with noticeable stains on the carpet and dust on surfaces. The shower temperature control was not functioning properly and made for an unpleasant experience.
